A mente \u00e9 como um espelho que recebe as aspira\u00e7\u00f5es dos sentidos, atua por meio dos sentidos e age por meio do prazer e da realiza\u00e7\u00e3o. Tem um papel duplo em ambas as extremidades. Recebe e age pelas impress\u00f5es do eu para os sentidos ou dos sentidos para o eu. A mente torna o corpo e o eu a morada do sofrimento se agir sem poder discriminativo.<\/p>\n<p>Asanas s\u00e3o destinados \u00e0 manuten\u00e7\u00e3o da sa\u00fade e \u00e0 estabilidade da mente. A pr\u00e1tica dos asanas purga as impurezas do corpo, trazendo beleza, for\u00e7a, firmeza, calma e clareza, revelando uma disposi\u00e7\u00e3o feliz sem criar qualquer tipo de dualidade entre corpo, mente e eu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPrana\u201d significa energia \u2013 a respira\u00e7\u00e3o de todos os seres. \u00c9 o princ\u00edpio da vida e da consci\u00eancia no homem. \u201cAyama\u2019 significa expans\u00e3o, extens\u00e3o, prolongamento e distribui\u00e7\u00e3o da energia vital que \u00e9 atra\u00edda pelo ar atmosf\u00e9rico bruto. Diz-se que a mente est\u00e1 onde est\u00e1 a respira\u00e7\u00e3o e, portanto, as pr\u00e1ticas corretas de pranayama regulam os h\u00e1bitos, desejos, a\u00e7\u00f5es e atua como uma ponte na unifica\u00e7\u00e3o do corpo, da mente e do eu.<\/p>\n<p>Pratyahara deixa os sentidos e a mente sob controle e interrompe as fun\u00e7\u00f5es duais da mente, desviando-a dos sentidos (bhoga) para o ser (yoga).<\/p>\n<p>Dharana, dhyana e samadhi s\u00e3o denominados samyama, o que significa integra\u00e7\u00e3o. \u00c9 a integra\u00e7\u00e3o do corpo, dos sentidos, da mente, do intelecto, da vontade com a consci\u00eancia.
