Tradu\u00e7\u00e3o livre de Maur\u00edcio Frighetto<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A maioria de n\u00f3s est\u00e1 ciente de que problemas de sa\u00fade mental e desequil\u00edbrios s\u00e3o causados \u200b\u200bpor estresse e tens\u00e3o; incapacidade de enfrentar problemas; depress\u00e3o; hip\u00f3teses e ideias fantasiosas; medo e inseguran\u00e7a; falta de desejo, entusiasmo, vontade e impulso; e ina\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tais desequil\u00edbrios provavelmente existiram por muitos s\u00e9culos, sen\u00e3o Patanjali n\u00e3o teria lidado com a filosofia do sofrimento, que ele chamou de <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">kleshas <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u200b\u200bem seus aforismos. No sutra II.3, Patanjali cita ignor\u00e2ncia espiritual, ego, desejo, \u00f3dio e apego \u00e0 vida como causas de dist\u00farbios mentais.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Raz\u00f5es de distra\u00e7\u00e3o mental<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Patanjali nos d\u00e1 treze raz\u00f5es para distra\u00e7\u00f5es mentais no Sutra 1.30 e 31. Eles s\u00e3o doen\u00e7a, falta de interesse ou lentid\u00e3o, d\u00favida persistente, orgulho ou descuido, ociosidade, gratifica\u00e7\u00e3o sensual, viver em um mundo de ilus\u00e3o, falta de perseveran\u00e7a, estagna\u00e7\u00e3o nas pr\u00e1ticas, sofrimento, desespero e instabilidade do corpo e da respira\u00e7\u00e3o. Esses impedimentos desviam a pessoa da sa\u00fade e da harmonia em dire\u00e7\u00e3o a doen\u00e7as f\u00edsicas e desequil\u00edbrios mentais.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c9 interessante notar que apenas duas dessas treze raz\u00f5es s\u00e3o categorizadas como f\u00edsicas, a saber, doen\u00e7as e instabilidades do corpo, enquanto as outras s\u00e3o de natureza mental.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esses antigos dist\u00farbios mentais e f\u00edsicos devem ser combatidos com disciplina, vigor e vitalidade e f\u00e9 e seriedade. No Sutra II.28, Patanjali explica como vencer todos esses impedimentos que v\u00eam no caminho da sa\u00fade e da felicidade entendendo e praticando os oito membros do Yoga. Ganha-se estabilidade intelectual e paz, tanto interna quanto externamente, ao ver a luz do conhecimento por meio da pr\u00e1tica de yoga.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Samadhi como meio e fim do yoga<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As palavras yoga e samadhi s\u00e3o termos sin\u00f4nimos que transmitem o mesmo significado: paz. O meio e o fim do yoga \u00e9 samadhi, que \u00e9 a experi\u00eancia de shanti (paz) dentro de si mesmo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c9 interessante notar a semelhan\u00e7a entre o significado das palavras yoga e samadhi. Samadhi significa uni\u00e3o, harmonizar, fixar a aten\u00e7\u00e3o da mente em um \u00fanico pensamento, contempla\u00e7\u00e3o intensa ou medita\u00e7\u00e3o. Yoga \u00e9 derivado da palavra \u201cyuj\u201d, que significa juntar, ligar, anexar, direcionar e concentrar a aten\u00e7\u00e3o, usar e aplicar. \u00c9 a uni\u00e3o do Eu Individual com o Eu Universal. A palavra Shanti tamb\u00e9m transmite tranquilidade, calma, liberdade de paix\u00f5es imperturb\u00e1veis \u200b\u200bnos objetos de prazeres e dores.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deve-se saber como conquistar a uni\u00e3o do corpo com a mente e da mente com o eu, a fim de experimentar a tranquilidade e a calma.
