Pedro Pessoa

PROFESSOR and COORDINATOR of CIYF

Graduated in Agronomic Engineering from UFSC, Pedro Pessoa has been studying Iyengar Yoga since 1999. In 2002 and 2003, he completed his first Iyengar Yoga Training in India with Karin O’Bannon. Since 2006, he has been deepening his studies with Faeq Biria and Corine Biria in France and South America.

In 2008, she hosted Lois Steinberg at CIYF, where since then, she has been teaching therapeutic courses and open workshops.

For more than ten consecutive years, Pedro traveled to India to study with the Iyengar family, deepening his experience and understanding of this tradition.

He was responsible for teaching one of the first Authorized Iyengar Yoga Training Courses in Brazil and has since been dedicated to training and mentoring practitioners who want to follow the path of becoming a teacher.

Pedro teaches courses and retreats in different South American countries and is known for his extensive pedagogical knowledge of asanas and pranayamas, as well as the precision, clarity, and quality of his teaching.

Camila de Lucca

TEACHER and COORDINATOR of CIYF

Graduated in Physical Education from UFSC, she has been studying Iyengar Yoga since 1999.

In 2002/2003, she completed her first Iyengar Yoga training in India with Karin O’Bannon. Since 2007, she has continued her studies with Faeq Biria and Corine Biria in France and South America.

For over 10 years, she has been organizing Lois Steinberg's workshops at CIYF, an important reference in therapeutic Iyengar Yoga teaching.

Between 2010 and 2018, she spent two months each year in India, deepening her studies with the Iyengar family. Since then, she has continued studying with Corine Biria and Abhijata Iyengar.

She is the founder and coordinator of the Iyengar Yoga Center Florianópolis, where she teaches classes, courses, and retreats.

Passionate about studying the scriptures, she focuses especially on Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, and the main Upanishads, aiming to understand and integrate these ancient teachings into modern life.
